A Daughter’s Prayer for Her Parents
(Catholic Prayer)
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Dear Lord Jesus,
Today I come to You with a full and grateful heart.
Thank You for the gift of my parents—
for their love, their sacrifices,
their patience, their strength,
and the life they have given me.
Lord, You know their hearts better than anyone.
You know their battles, their worries,
and the burdens they sometimes carry in silence.
I lift them up to You, Jesus.
Please bless them with good health,
a peaceful mind, and a joyful spirit.
Mother Mary, wrap your gentle mantle around them.
Protect them from sickness, stress, and sadness.
Teach me to love them the way you loved your Son—
with tenderness, respect, and unwavering devotion.
Heavenly Father,
I pray that my parents may live long, happy years.
May their days be filled with laughter,
their home filled with peace,
and their hearts filled with hope.
Give them strength in their bodies,
clarity in their minds,
and calm in their souls.
Forgive me for the times I have disappointed them
or taken them for granted.
Help me to be a better daughter—
more patient, more understanding,
and more present for them.
Lord, continue to guide our family.
Heal what needs to be healed,
renew what needs to be renewed,
and bless what needs Your blessing.
Let our home always reflect Your love.
And when my parents feel tired,
be their rest.
When they feel worried,
be their peace.
And when they feel alone,
remind them that You are always near.
I surrender them into Your loving hands, Jesus.
Take care of them in ways I never could.
Watch over them day and night,
and let Your grace be the light
that guides every step of their journey.
Amen.
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
